Lady Bears Sign Oklahoma Recruit

On February 3, Goodwell, Okla. native Alexis Gloude signed a letter of intent to play women’s basketball and pursue a major in Business Administration at Barclay College in the fall.

“I chose Barclay because it reminds me a lot like my hometown; the environment, the community, the people,” explained Gloude. “I feel that Barclay can help me grow as person in and out of the classroom. I couldn’t be more excited to play women’s basketball and start college in the fall.”

At Goodwell High School she participated in basketball, cheerleading, golf, student council, yearbook, and Business Professionals of America. The 5’3” crafty point guard has several achievements on the court for the Eagles. Gloude is a captain for the team, and she was voted Offensive of Player of the Year and most athletic person on the team by her coaches and teammates. Gloude has been on the all district team for the last two seasons.

Head Coach Marcus Mitchell  raved, “We are thrilled that Alexis decided to attend Barclay in the fall. She is an athletic pass first point guard that sees the floor well. She has a good understanding of the game and she doesn’t let her size stray her away from attacking the basket.”

Alexis is the daughter of Murry and Elana Gloude.
