The Bears made the trip to Iowa to face MCCC foes Faith Baptist and Emmaus University on back to back days. Faith Baptist’s matchup on Friday, 9\/11 led to Barclay on the short end of the scoreboard with a 3-1 loss to the Eagles. Barclay’s lone goal came late in the first half scored on an unassisted goal by Matheus Lepera Moraes. The Bears moved to 2-3-1 on the year before the quick turnaround against fellow MCCC opponent Emmaus University.<\/p>\n
Less than 24 hours later the Bears got back on track with a 4-2 victory against Emmaus to move to 3-3-1 on the year and 1-1 in conference play. A goal scored one minute into the contest by Danielberg Tavares set the tone for Barclay early. Twenty minutes later Ignacio Zuniga found the back of the net again to move the contest to 2-0. After an Emmaus answer Eduardo Amaro put Barclay back up by two goals to end the scoring for the first half. At the 64th minute Danielberg scored again to put the game out of reach.
