The Bears had been beat earlier in the month by the Saints and were looking for a win against the NCCAA Southwest Region competitor. As the first set began, the Bears jumped out to a quick 8-3 lead before the Saints bounced back with strong serving to pull it close and eventually take the set 25-19. The Saints continued with their strong serving to win the second set as well, 25-11. The third set was close throughout with both teams fighting hard for the win. With the help of Sophomore Megan Eby&#8217;s (Arlington, WA) thee aces, the Bears hung tough with the Saints, but the Saints were able to finish out the set 25-21. The Bears were led by Junior Sarah Sullivan (San Antonio, TX) and Eby with 6 kills a piece. Sophomore Dani Gressel (South Haven, KS) pitched in with 8 digs. While Sophomore setter Kalyn Switzer (Weatherford, OK) had 11 assists.
