Pedro Chavez from Lakin, KS has signed a letter of intent to play soccer for Barclay College.  Pedro was involved in football, track, and basketball at Lakin High School. He is the son of Jose and Luz Chavez.

Head Coach Kevin Lee stated, “I am excited for Pedro, his family, and for Barclay College.  Pedro will be the first in his family to attend college, and I can already tell from his determination that he will accomplish great things as a student athlete.” Coach Lee also noted, “I was surprised by his skill level because I knew Lakin does not have a soccer program. However, Pedro has developed his skills playing locally in leagues.  Because of his physicality and his technique, he will be a solid player for us.”
