Barclay College Men’s and Women’s Cross Country teams competed in Wichita, KS on Saturday, September 7th. Friends University hosted the meet and created a course that consisted of many long hills and stretches of uneven surfaces of sand.

Being the first meet of the season, both teams set out to achieve their first time marks. They ended up accomplishing far more than just getting a time down on paper. Each athlete worked extremely hard on a very difficult course.  Barclay athletes finished with respectable times and places. They never gave up and pressed on with fast finishes. This meet is just a starting point for the Barclay athletes. Katlyn Ogle, Katie Barber, Brandi Brown and Caitlin Young represented the women’s side this weekend. Skip Harris and Joseph Spiegel represented the Men’s team.

Their next meet will be on October 28th at Tabor College. Thanks to all who are supporting the team with encouragement and prayers.
