Lady Bears Earn Postseason Awards

The Lady Bears concluded their season two weeks ago and earned themselves multiple postseason individual awards in the process. Their two seniors, Shandy Edenborough (Goodwell, Okla.) and RaeLyn Epp (Corn, Okla.), led the way all year for the Lady Bears and received much earned recognition for their contributions.

The awards began back on February 19th when the Midwest Christian College Conference announced all-conference winners. Edenbourough was named an all-conference honorable mention player thanks to averaging a double-double on the season with 11 points and 10 rebounds per game. Epp, on the other hand, led the Bears in scoring at 15 a game to earn all-conference 2nd team status.

In addition, on February 27th, during the NCCAA Division II Southwest Region tournament, all-region recipients were revealed. In a region which included the #1 and #2 ranked teams in the country, Edenborough and Epp were once again included. Edenborough was named Southwest Region honorable mention while Epp was placed on the Southwest Region 2nd team.

The Bears will attempt to find replacements for their four seniors this off-season as they aim to continue to grow the women’s basketball program under new leadership.
