LYDIA KING SIGNS WITH BARCLAY

We are pleased to announce the signing of Lydia King from Haysville, Kansas to Barclay College for the Fall of 2018.  Lydia is planning to pursue a major in either Nursing or Elementary Teacher Education.  Lydia will be a dual sport athlete in both volleyball and basketball. She grew up being home schooled and played for the Derby Invasion.  In volleyball, her team won the National Home school tournament in Omaha, Nebraska, in which she was named the MVP in the Bronze Division.  In basketball, her team took 3rd place in the KCAA (Kansas Christian Athletic Association) and she was named all-conference.  When asked why she chose Barclay, she said, “I like the Christian atmosphere and it’s a plus having my brother on the faculty.”  Assistant basketball coach Ray Anderson said, “Lydia is athletic and has the ability to play multiple positions in the back court, which is a plus at the college level.”  Volleyball coach Larry Lewis commented, “Lydia has very good fundamental skills in volleyball and will be a great fit for our team with her 100% effort and her desire to represent the Lord in everything she does.”  We welcome Lydia King to the Barclay family!
