Second Half Woes for Lady Bears

Haviland, KS – The Lady Saints from Hillsdale Free Will Baptist were in town Tuesday, Dec. 4th and the Bears were primed and ready for an upset bid.

Shortly after the tip, the Saints struck first from both the interior and from behind the arc before the Lady Bears started chipping away at the lead. They were sparked by Jr. Brandi Moral’s play off the bench, dishing out 5 assists on the game. The Bears momentarily took the lead before the Saints built the lead back up to five 31-26 at the half.

Unfortunately the second half was a different story for the Lady Bears. They were outscored 41-24 after the intermission to fall to the Saints 50-72. The Bears were led by Freshman Shandy Edenborough with 13 points and 9 rebounds, Junior Sarah Sullivan with 10 points and 7 boards and Moral who added another 10 points.  

The Bears final game before Christmas Break is at Bartlesville against Oklahoma Wesleyan University at 2:00 PM CST on Saturday, Dec. 8th.
