2014 Cross Country in Review

The 2014 Barclay College Cross Country season produced several personal best times for new and returning runners. Athletes took on tough courses throughout Kansas this year. Competing in Sterling, Hutchinson, Hillsboro, and Hays, Barclay runners were provided ample opportunities for runners to show their love for the Lord and for others.

2014 Women Runners included; Freshman Christy Anderson (Colorado Springs, CO), Sophomore Kayla Carr (Fowler, KS), Junior Caitlin Young (Russell, KS), Senior Katelyn Ogle (Haviland, KS), and Senior Chealsea Shuck (Haviland, KS). Freshman Nic Lemonds (Newberg, OR), Freshman Shawn Richardson (Colorado Springs, CO), Freshman Jared Werstler (Uniontown, OH), and Sophomore Tanner Huck (Coldwater, KS) competed on the men’s side.

Each athlete ran a personal best time this season. Both Ogle and Huck were blessed to qualify for the National Christian College Athletic Association national competition in Houghton, New York this November. Due to unfortunate travel circumstances, however, neither runner was able to attend the meet.

Coaches and athletes thank everyone who prayed and encouraged them throughout the season.
