On June 3rd, Sarah Eastwood signed a letter of intent to play women’s basketball this coming fall at Barclay College. Eastwood hails from Rolla, Kansas and, considering she measures in at 5’11”, will bring an immediate presence to the women’s basketball team.

Eastwood simply stated, “The small community felt like home.”

She was a three-year first team All Santa Fe Trail league player while donning the red and yellow of Rolla High School. As a senior she averaged 12 points and 7 rebounds to lead the Pirates. In addition, Eastwood was also involved with student council, cheerleading, and was president of the 4-H Club. Currently she is undecided on a major.

“Sarah will be a great addition to the college,” said head women’s basketball coach Marcus Mitchell. “I am thrilled to have her be apart of our basketball program. She has great footwork and a soft touch around the rim. We look for Sarah to have an immediate impact for our team next year.”
