Women’s Volleyball Earns Scholar Team Award
On Wednesday, the National Christian College Athletic Association announced the Fall 2016 Scholar Teams. In order to be eligible for the award, teams needed a combined minimum grade point average of 3.40 on a 4.00 scale for all student-athletes on the team.
Of the 18 institutions that qualified for the award, the Barclay College women’s volleyball team was a proud recipient. There combined grade point average was a 3.41.
“I could not be more pleased with these young ladies receiving the Scholar Team Award from the NCCAA,” said head coach Larry Lewis. “Throughout the season, they exhibited quality in all areas of their lives and this shows their mindset in giving their best academically while training and competing as volleyball players.”
