BC Men’s Basketball Improves to 3-0

Barclay College Men’s Basketball is off to a 3-0 start this year. Over the weekend they traveled to two MCCC opponents, Nebraska Christian College on Friday, November 18th and to Faith Baptist Bible College (Ankeny, IA) the following Saturday afternoon.

Friday, November 16th the Bears took on the Parsons of Nebraska Christian. Early on the Parsons were able to stay within striking distance as the Bears racked up twenty first half fouls. However, the Bears, led by Senior Toney Hatton’s (Irving, TX) 25 points and Freshman Caleb Stagner-Hundley’s (Savannah, MO) 17 points and 18 rebounds, were able to pull away shortly into the second half to secure the victory 94-63.

On Saturday afternoon, the Bears pressure defense and inside presence were a little too much for the Eagles to handle. At half the Bears found themselves up 61-39 and were able to close the game out 104-70. The Bears shot a blistering 72% from the field, led by Hatton’s 26 points on 11-12 shooting.

Next up for the Bears (3-0, 2-0) are the defending MCCC Champions from Manhattan Christian College at 7:30 PM CST in Manhattan, KS on Tuesday, November 27th.
