Bears Improve to 6-1 in MCCC

Haviland, KS – Following a tough NCCAA regional road loss on Tuesday, the Bears bounced back in a big way with home victories over St. Louis Christian and Central Christian College of the Bible.

On Friday, January 25th the Bears hosted MCCC opponent St. Louis Christian. The Bears started the game out on a 15-0 run in route to a 111-65 win over the Warriors. The Bears had five players in double figures led by Senior Toney Hatton’s 18 points and 8 rebounds, Sophomore Charles Brodhead’s 17 points and 15 rebounds, and Sophomore Spencer Huiatt’s 17 points and 11 assists.

CCCB was in town for homecoming on Saturday and the Bears didn’t skip a beat from the night before. Heading into the half, the Bears led by 24 points and finished the game with a win, 94-58. Sophomore Brandon Howarth led all players with 20 points and 14 rebounds.

With two more conference wins the Bears improved to 6-1 in conference with three games remaining. They host Manhattan Christian on Tuesday, January 29th at 7:30, who is also 6-1 in conference play.
