Freshman Midfielder Joshua Moore (Houston, TX) was name Student Athlete of the Week for the week of October 6th-11th. It is Moore’s first time to receive the award, but the Bears third of the season.

Last week the Bears went 2-0 with wins over Hillsdale Free Will Baptist (Moore, OK) and Robert Morris University (Springfield, IL). Moore was an integral part of the Bears success last week. In their 2-0 win over the Saints of Hillsdale last Tuesday afternoon, he scored off of a corner kick to seal the victory and then against Robert Morris over the weekend he assisted on the Bears first goal and then scored on a penalty kick. 

The Bears improved to 10-1 overall on the season, including 5-0 in Midwest Christian College Conference play. It was the second straight year the Bears were regular season MCCC champs. Next up is a showdown at the MCCC Tournament, which will be hosted by St. Louis Christian College (Florissant, MO) this year. The tournament will be played October 23rd-25th.
