MCCC Honors Soccer, Volleyball Players

The Midwest Christian College Conference handed out end-of-the-year awards over the weekend. Junior Sarah Sullivan (San Antonio, TX) was the lone volleyball players to earn recognition while Sophomore Aaron Collatie (Bel Aire, KS) and Freshman Eduardo Salazar (Huntsville, TX) were recognized for soccer.

Following a break-out junior season this year, Sullivan received MCCC Honorable Mention. Sullivan finished the conference regular season fourth overall in kill average (3.07 per-set) and was 6th in attacking percentage (29%). During the conference tournament, she recorded another 27 kills in just two games.

In addition to Salazar being the NCCAA Division II player of the week earlier in the year, he was also named to the MCCC First Team following a freshman year where he led the team in scoring (11 goals) and finished in the top three in the MCCC in points per-game average (1.92) and goals per-game average (.75).

Collatie was named to the MCCC Second Team. His aggressive, tenacious presence on the field solidified the Bear’s defense throughout the course of the season.
