Although the Bears Men’s Basketball season ended in the first round of the NCCAA Southwest Region, two members earned All-Region honors. Junior Tommy Leach was named to the All-Region Second Team while Senior Austin Ogle was given Honorable Mention.

Leach concluded the season averaging 12.5 points a game while shooting 36 percent from the field and a blistering 79.3 percent from the free-throw line. He was also named to the Midwest Christian College Conference Second Team, and was named to the Nebraska Wesleyan Thanksgiving Classic All-Tournament Team back in November.

The Southwest Region tournament brought to a close the basketball career of Ogle. This season he averaged 9 points and 6 rebounds a game. His relentless effort and perseverance over his four year career earned him recognition by the region.

“I’m very proud of both of these men,” said Head Coach Royce Bryan. “They have been above reproach both on and off the court and they are very deserving of all the recognition they have received.”
