Bears Soccer Has Heartbreaker in Dallas

Dallas, TX – On a rainy afternoon at Dallas Christian College (Dallas, TX), the Bears were unable to exact revenge from an earlier loss to the Crusaders in Haviland, KS on September 14th.

Roughly 25 minutes into the game, Dallas Christian scored first on a well-played through ball. The Bears were able to tie the game in stoppage time when Senior Rusty Eadie (Manton, MI) drilled a laser into the upper right corner of the goal. However, the game winner came from the Crusaders when they crossed the ball to an unmarked man in the box in the closing minute of the game.

Assistant Coach Marc Compton said, “It was a hard fought game. I was proud of the way our team played. Although we lost, we showed a lot of improvement.”

The Bears (6-6, 2-3) will play their annual alumni game under the lights at 7:00 PM CST on Friday, October 5th before they conclude their MCCC schedule at home against Central Christian College of the Bible (Moberly, MO) on Friday, Oct. 12th.
