Lady Bears Learn Tough Lesson at MCC
The Barclay College Lady Bears were back in action Tuesday night after a two week layoff over Thanksgiving Break. They set out for Manhattan, KS to see how they stacked up against the best team in the Midwest Christian College Conference, Manhattan Christian.
What they found out was that Manhattan Christian College was as good as advertised as they cruised to a 85-33 victory. The Lady Crusaders played with great intensity, execution and confidence while the Lady Bears’ youth and inexperience were evident. Junior Morgan Stander led the Lady Bears in scoring with 9 points.
Head Coach Brad Lingafelter concluded, “This game is one of those “draw the line in the sand” kind of games. We can continue to go through the motions or we can realize that we are a much better basketball team than that. We had a productive film session and we are going to get these things fixed.”
The Lady Bears will not play again until Saturday, January 11th when they host Arlington Baptist College (Arlington, TX).
