Dubuque, IA – The Lady Bears of Barclay traveled north to participate in the Emmaus Bible College Classic to start the spring semester.
On Friday night the Lady Bears took the floor against the host Emmaus Bible College. The new look Lady Bears came out ready to go from the start. A steal and lay-up on the first defensive possession proved to be foreshadowing of how the game would go. At halftime the Lady Bears were cruising along with a 52-21 lead. The second half was much of the same the Lady Bears won 79-40.
The Lady Bears had five girls in double digits led by Sophomore Jamie Larsh’s 16 points which included 4-7 from three point range. Junior Brandi Moral chipped in 15 points and 14 rebounds, Freshman Raelyn Epp had 14, and Seniors Kaylee Miller and Artaya Climes had 13 points and 10 point.

Grace built a 16 point lead by halftime, and then held off a couple rallies in which the Lady Bears were able to cut the lead to single digits before prevailing 53-40.
Head Coach Brad Lingafelter concluded, “I was proud of these ladies. We played our best two games of the year. We cut down turnovers, we rebounded well, we got on the floor after loose balls, and we executed our offense. One bad shooting half, but other than that, I absolutely loved the effort on the court and the fellowship off the court.”
The Lady Bears (3-8) take their 2-1 MCCC conference mark on the road to face Calvary Bible College (Kansas City, MO) at 5:30 PM CST on Friday, January 18th and Ozark Christian College (Joplin, MO) on Saturday at 1:00 PM.
