Two More Wins for Bears Basketball

Dubuque, IA – To start the spring semester, the NCCAA Division II #9 ranked Barclay College Bears trekked all the way to the north country for a pair of games at Emmaus Bible College over the weekend. Playing host Emmaus Bible and Dayspring Bible College out of north Chicago, the Bears were able to start the spring semester off with two wins.

On Friday, January 11th the Bears tackled the Eagles of Emmaus Bible. Thanks to Sophomore Brandon Howarth’s 18 first half points, the Bears were able to head into the half with an 8 point lead. In the second half, the Bears adjusted to the Eagle zone and were able to pull away late for a 77-61 road win. Four Bears reached double figure scoring for a balanced offensive attack.
