MCCC Post-Season Recognition

Friday night, the Midwest Christian College Conference paused the conference tournament held in Haviland, Kan. to take time to celebrate the many accomplishments during the regular season. Among the winners were a handful of Barclay College men’s and women’s basketball players.

On the women’s side, junior Shandy Edenborough (Goodwell, Okla.) and junior RaeLyn Epp (Corn, Okla.) were named to the second team. Edenborough nearly averaged a double-double on the season with 14 points and 9 rebounds per game as she was a force to be reckoned with on the interior. Epp, on the other hand, averaged nearly 13 points while shooting 33 percent from long distance and dishing out 3.3 assists per game.

Senior Tony Graham (Baltimore, Md.) and junior Charles Brodhead (Lompoc, Calif.) were selected all-conference on the men’s side. Brodhead was not only named to the first team but was the MCCC Most Valuable Player. He averaged 19.7 points while shooting 50 percent from the field, including 42.5 percent from three. In addition, he led the Bears in rebounds (6.2), steals (2.6), and was second in assists (3.2) per game. Graham was named to the second team. Averaging 18 points a game, Graham was relentless on the offensive glass and was a proven and consistent scorer all season long.

In addition, Graham and Brodhead led the Bears to a 7-2 record in the conference play as they were also awarded the conference regular season runner-up plaque.
