On August 27th, the NCCAA released their official Preseason Top 10 Rankings and Barclay College is staring 2014 off where they spent most of the 2013 season; in the Top 10. The Bears are coming off a season in which they were Midwest Christian College Conference Co-Champions and NCCAA Southwest Region Runner-Ups.

The first national poles had the Bears ranked #10. They were just one spot behind fellow MCCC Co-Champion Ozark Christian College (Joplin, MO), who the Bears will host on Saturday, September 20th. Also in the Top 10 were last years SW Region Champions Dallas Christian College (Dallas, TX) at #7 and MCCC Co-Champion Manhattan Christian College (Manhattan, KS) at #6. At #1 was powerhouse Moody Bible Institute (Chicago, IL).

The Bears will take the field this afternoon in attempt to defend their ranking and start off conference play on the right note. They take on Calvary Bible College at 2:00PM CST.
