Volleyball Falls Short in Oklahoma

The Lady Bears Volleyball team took to the road once again to face NCCAA Division II Southwest Region opponent Hillsdale Free Will Baptist (Moore, OK) on Tuesday night. The Saints proved to be another tough opponent for the Bears as they are yet another opponent that has been a regular in the weekly top ten poles.

Early on the Bears found themselves in a little bit of a hole before rallying at the end of the set. The Bears ran out of steam and dropped the set 17-25. After a quick second set where the Saints easily won 10-25, the Bears regrouped and made some vital defensive adjustments in the third. With the Bears trailing just two at 18-20, the ball did not bounce the Bears way as the Saints closed the set and match out 18-25.

Statistically the Bears were led by Senior Sarah Sullivan who had an impressive fifteen kills while Junior Kalyn Switzer had nine assists to go along with four digs.

The Bears will play their annual Alumni Game this coming weekend before traveling to #5 Manhattan Christian College (Manhattan, KS) on Tuesday, October 7th at 7:00 PM CST.
