All-State Point Guard Signs with Bears

Oklahoma All-State recipient Cole Hibler from 6A Ponca City High School has signed his letter of intent to attend and play basketball at Barclay College in the Fall of 2013.

Hibler is a 5’10” point guard who averaged 10.2 points a game while shooting 36 percent from three and 44 percent from the field as a senior. He also dished out 4.1 assists per game on a team that finished the year 12-11.

For his accomplishments over this last season, Hibler was named to the Oklahoma Basketball Coaches Association All-Region Team and selected to their All-Star Team, and was recognized in the Oklahoman, Tulsa World Daily, and VYPE magazine as a 6A All-State player. In addition, he has been an All-Centennial Conference player over the past three seasons.

Head Coach Royce Bryan commented, “We are thrilled that Cole decided to come to BC in the fall. I think what makes him special is his ability to impact the game in so many different ways. He can score when needed, but doesn’t have to score in order to make his presence felt. He just has a great understanding of the game and is a tough competitor.”

Hibler is the son of Alan and Shiela Hibler. He is planning on majoring in Business Administration.
