BC Adds Duel Sport Athlete
Ben Priebe, son of Bill and Cindy Priebe, has decided to attend Barclay College this fall and play both soccer and basketball. The 6’5″ Priebe is a 2014 Rose Hill High School (Rose Hill, Kans.) graduate that spent the 2014-15 academic year Cowley County Community College (Arkansas City, Kans.).
Priebe comes to Haviland with a multitude of accomplishments and successes during his high school years. While playing right back as a senior, he was named Ark Valley Chisholm Trail Honorable Mention in route to helping the Rockets of Rose Hill finish as 4A Kansas state runner-ups in soccer. In addition, he won the AVCT Division three triple jump as a senior, and averaged a double-double for the basketball team that same year. At the conclusion of his senior year Priebe was the recipient of the Wendy’s High School Heisman, was named Rose Hill HS Most Valuable Player and best student athlete.
“You don’t come across credentials like Ben has very often,” said head coach Royce Bryan. “We are very fortunate that he has chosen to attend BC and we are excited to see his impact on this campus and community. I just love that he is a spirited competitor, dedicated to his academics, and, most importantly, committed follower of The Way.”
