Lady Bears Defeated by Crusaders

Manhattan, KS – The Barclay College Lady Bears hit the road again for an away game against Manhattan Christian Crusaders on Tuesday, November 27th.

The Lady Bears found themselves in a hole a couple times in the first half. “Manhattan came out and got really physical with us,” said Head Coach Brad Lingafelter. However, the Lady Bears managed to dig themselves out trailing by only 7 at the half, 28-21.

The second half looked promising when the Lady Bears came out with lots of intensity as they began to chip away at the Lady Crusaders lead. In the end, Barclay could not hang with Manhattan’s deep bench. The Crusaders were able to pull away and win 67-44.

High scorers for the Bears were Senior Artaya Climes (Lawton, OK) with 11 points and Junior Sarah Sullivan (San Antonio, TX) with 10 points.

The Lady Bears are back at home this weekend hosting Grace University (Omaha, NE) on Friday November 30th at 5:30 PM CST and on Saturday they will face Dallas Christian at home at 4:00 PM CST.
