Yesterday afternoon Andre Barnes, of Conroe, TX, officially committed to attending Barclay College this coming Fall. Barnes graduated from Conroe High School in 2013 and comes to Barclay by way of Paris Junior College in Paris, TX.

Barnes is a 6’6″ power forward that averaged 12 points, 6 rebounds and 2 blocks as a senior at Conroe HS. In addition, he was named to the Class 5A Second Team All District 14 and was All Montgomery County Honorable Mention. In 2013-14, he played for Paris JC and was a part of their team that qualified for the NJCAA National Tournament in Hutchinson, KS.

“Andre seems like a quality young man and comes from a great family. He has an opportunity to really thrive on and off the court at Barclay College and we are thrilled that he has decided to be a Bear,” said Head Coach Royce Bryan.

Barnes is a business major and is the son of Albert and Lisa Barnes.
