Laura Roinila from Mishawaka, Indiana will be coming to Barclay College this fall. She plans to major in Missions/Nursing and will play volleyball. Laura is 5’4” and will help Barclay as a defensive specialist and possible setting duties in the future. When asked why she chose Barclay, she said, “Barclay offers the major I’m interested in, but being able to play volleyball is icing on the cake”. Laura graduated from high school a year early and enjoys performing in theater along with singing in church worship teams. She loves hanging out with friends or going on adventures, like hiking. During the summer months, Laura has participated in “Summer of Service”, where churches in Northern Indiana work together on service projects. Coach Lewis said, “Laura is fundamentally sound in her volleyball skills and I appreciate her desire to work hard and continue improving”.
