Tabor College Hosts Bears Cross Country

Barclay College Cross Country ran at the Tabor Invite in Hillsboro, KS this past weekend. On a picture perfect day for a cross country meet, the Bears were given the opportunity to run on a well-designed course against some great competition from around Kansas.

Even though the women’s team competed without their national qualifier, Senior Katelyn Ogle, who was recovering from illness, Senior Chelsea Shuck came through with a PR on her second ever race. The other runners continued to work hard with one last chance remaining to qualify for Nationals in Houghton, NY.

The men were represented by Sophomore Tanner Huck and Freshman Shawn Richardson. Although neither runner turned in a personal best time, they both ran well on a very fast men’s course.

Vanessa, KS will be the site of the next Bear’s meet. Fort Hays State University will host their annual Tiger Open on October 18th, starting with the women’s race at 9:00 AM CST.
